Devine Entertainment of Toronto, Canada, has created award winning made for television films designed to introduce children ages 6 - 13 to famous and accomplished people. These films employ a consistently entertaining format: an actual event in the life of the film's subject forms the basis for a story about his or her interaction with a child. Usually the child is a fictional character, but occasionally the child actually lived and interacted with the famous person featured in the film. The Devine Entertainment films are excellent vehicles to introduce children to great men and women who have contributed to the creation of the modern world. (No one associated with TeachWithMovies.com has any financial or other relationship with the people at Devine Entertainment. This recommendation is based solely on the quality of the films produced by that company.)
