This is a reasonably accurate film biography showing the early scientific work of Marie Curie (1867 - 1934) and her romance with her husband. Marie Curie discovered radioactivity and was the first person to win two Nobel Prizes in science. She was the preeminent female scientist of the 20th century. This film shows the joy and drudgery of scientific investigation. It will inspire children, both boys and girls, to become scientists. It is an excellent supplement to science classes.
